FAQ
Got questions about our services? Let’s see if we can answer them.
What kinds of scripts do you write?
Juuuuust about anything! We’ve helped content creators across dozens of niches craft the perfect words. We write for entrepeneurs giving startup advice, true crime buffs diving deep into investigations, parenting experts, history lovers, and more! The only kind of scripting we don’t currently offer is fictional storytelling.
What is the difference between the kinds of scripts you offer?
We know everyone has a different level of comfort with recording content, so we aim to provide different options to suit your personal needs.
Our process for scripting interview episodes involves a deep-dive into your guests’ backgrounds, interesting questions, and lots of ideas for follow-ups to keep the conversation moving. The only thing we don’t do is find and schedule guests for you- we don’t have that kind of pull!
An outline script is perfect for creators who like to add their own thoughts to the script or are comfortable with a more off-the-cuff approach when recording. We’ll craft a well-organized flow of ideas, highlighting the most important and interesting parts of the topic, give suggestions for places to add in personal touches, and provide you with all our sources so you can dig in to the material yourself.
A full script is a ready-to-read document you can deliver word-for-word. This is ideal for folks who like to know exactly what they’re going to say before they press “record.”
Still not sure which is right? Contact us for samples of each type of script!
Why should I hire Scriptcraft to write my podcast? Can't I just, ya know, talk?!
Sure! But coming up with 15-60 minutes worth of material off-the-cuff is a LOT harder than it seems. Good scripting is the difference between episodes that get ten downloads and episodes that get 10,000 downloads. Even shows that you think are improvised are usually carefully researched, outlined, and often fully scripted. The Scriptcraft writers are experts in research (seriously, our founder is a librarian) and are great at crafting content from reliable, interesting sources that reads like a conversation between friends. A unlike an AI script generator, we get to know you, your vision, and your voice, so your scripts sound like you, not a robot.
Why should I turn my episode into a blog post?
Podcast transcriptions can be a valuable tool in increasing listenership and improving accessability, but have you ever read one? It’s like reading the lyrics of your favorite song without any music. By crafting your spoken word into an engaging blog post, you’ll attract web traffic from listeners and folks who are interested in your topic, but not necessarily in listening to a podcast about it. Blog posts also help your show rank higher in search results!
